Meta and playstyles aside, Swate seems more like mafia to me than Oak. And if we really do look at meta and playstyles, it kinda supports my theory as well, as you just said, so...
I'd still like to hear what he has to say in response to my first post of the day, but it seems he's taken off for the night (I believe he lives in Australia or NZ or some similar timezone, so we might not hear from him until tomorrow).

I'm sorry but the fuck was that, those last few messages about items were really odd, why were we trying to figure out who had items? If a town person has a useful item, I'd rather not everyone have knowledge of this. The only outcome would be that anti-town would know who were threats to them.

My original idea was to have just a couple of players who had insignificant items to claim, if there were any, to see if the setup was item-heavy. In a setup revolving around items, less important/useful items would be more common, much unlike the highly scarce Bomb Cake, Cursed Night, and Bulletproof Vests from last game that you're thinking of.
It's 8.15pm for Oak and I.

Ah shit, I just realised I didn't read Jivvi's comment right. I'm being serious ;-; fuck I've gone and dug a good hole now. I thought he meant we were wasting our, the town's, resources, which I didn't understand so I replied with "what do you mean, our resources?" and cited possible 'resources' he was referring to. Where the heck did I say I had heaps of proof of me not being Arsonist? I said I had just as much proof of not being Arsonist as Hype had for me being Arsonist: none.
As for my "shifty behaviour" on day one, that was me being a paranoid rookie. I felt like everyone was ganging up on me for no reason, which it legit was in the beginning, and I started panicking that I would be lynched. I really wanted to play a full good game with good people but they were proving jokes so I got a little stressed.
God, looking at myself I really do look shifty as all hell. I am sorry, I'm not Mafia .-. I'm just screwing up left, right and center.
Since I've been called out as suspicious to 77, I'll take the chance to brush up on my self-defence.
First of all, please take note: I was not trying to out all items, merely to determine if the setup was item-based.

If the setup was item-based, there would be numerous small-time items; one that scarcely mattered. One or two of these was all that as really needed to determine.
I specifically stated that it would be complete folly to claim if you had an item that would attract attention to yourself.
The benefits of knowing if a setup is item-based are numerous
- We know that likely mafia roles include the Thief and the Saboteur
- We know to be careful with potentially sabotaged items
- We know that an Anarchist or Creepy Girl or similar 3P role could exist
- We know that a Baker could be in play as well
Since it's highly unlikely that this is an item-based setup, most of these possibilities are greatly unlikely.
Working this out was my goal in the little questionnaire; please don't pin me down for Fiesta's misinterpretations that he then belted down everyone's throats.
Also, to the people who will undoubtedly jump on me for preparing a massive defence for a little FOS, you'll soon learn that this is pretty much my default for keeping out of the lynchable limelight.

This is the thing though, I'm talkative as all hell unless I'm asleep or somewhere where I don't have internet. I only seem more suspicious because I've been talking more. Oak hasn't said awfully much compared to me, so your 'seems more like mafia' approach is biased towards my talkativity.
