oh god i promised myself i wouldnt end up like you nerds going and analysing tarot cards online but here i am
MAGICIAN in general:
'The Magician’s robe is white, symbolising the purity and innocence found in the Fool but his cloak is red, representing worldly experience and knowledge. In the bed of flowers at his feet this duality is repeated in the mix of pure white lilies and thorny red roses.'
MAGICIAN upright:
'You have the ability to take the power of the Universe and manifest your desires. The Magician Tarot card suggests that a situation has been (or soon will be) presented to you that has all the inherent components to allow the manifestation of your desires. Those desires may be spiritual (fire), physical (earth), emotional (water), or mental (air), and are each aligned with the four elements of the Tarot. You have the ability to make it happen!'
'The Magician Tarot card is a good omen when you have a specific wish, when you begin a project involving creativity, or when you need to make a transformation of any kind. This is a great Tarot card for meditation when you need to call all the elements for help and wisdom.'
MAGICIAN upside down:
'Reversed, the Magician can indicate greed, deceit, manipulation and using one’s skill and ability for negative ends. It can reflect trickery and cunning, untrustworthiness and mental confusion.'
'You need to return to the lesson of the Fool and free yourself from the current situation in order to give yourself some perspective and reassess the situation'

ok so i've obviously cherry picked quotes from only one website to support my point (i mean those quotes say like CREATIVITY and GOOD OMEN and PURITY within them as well)
i'd suggest that the magician is a gunsmith-esque role that can idk give a person like one-shot magic for the day which they can use CREATIVELY to MANIFEST THEIR DESIRES whether it be good or bad depending on who gets the magic
for example, last night they gave their magic to notty to use today who manifested their desires by killing aqua (and his card)
uh im not sure of what the alignment would be based on those abilities, it would be very OP in towns hands (you could give it to cop and be like BULLET PROOF VEST TONIGHT -then again it seems to be only a day thing so far-) but also OP in mafias (wow i want LYNCH IMMUNITY today or something) but as third party they would essentially become the kingmaker deciding who to give their perks to
i guess that if they were mafia it could easily be portrayed as a town role leading to easier claims for them (which is beneficial in a set-up that seems to hint that bad cards -> bad alignment possibly) + idk what sane town person would give notty magic
i also dont like how many times 'the fool' came up in that website so i bolded it in a few quotes so maybe the magician can only give the magic to the fool (notty) or something and then that leads to the fool being more easily lynched BUT that would seem like a very  role that would probably be voted off
but yeah THOSE ARE MY THOUGHTS
