Guardian of Life

I cringe and look at the guardian of hope with pity on my face.
"T-they burnt you?" I whispered, "I wonder how I died.. was I burnt?"
I scuff the mushy ground, looking at the closer hill I presume we're heading to.
"I'm guessing we're going there, right?" I mumble, wiping the melted snow from my face.

"Yes." Cyra answered Life. "We're heading towards the hill-" There seems to be an empty hole on the side of the hill. "-or is that... a cave?" She shook snow off her cloak for the second time.

I sit down, next to the flying girl. I trust her the most right now, it's almost like she wakes some sort of protective instincts in me. And I still haven't got her name. "Hey there, how's it going?" I ask her. She just looks up to me with wide eyes. "What's your name? I gave you mine, it's only fair."

((@Timdood3 @Faliara))
Her eyes dulled.

"Don't have one," she said.

The Guardian of Hope

He instictively reached out to the Guardian of Life as she slightly slipped on the snow uphill but she was alright. He saw Cyra hold her hood rightly as they traversed upward against the snow. After a few trips and falls within minutes the trio stood at the mouth of the cave.

Death stops in his tracks and begins walking back to the entrance.

"Ill be back later I just have something to do" he says as he detaches from his group.

The real reason was because he sensed many other presences entering the cave hoping he could slip by before they get too far in.

He thinks to himself. "Hm, I guess ill be keeping this rune thing." as he puts it in his pocket.

"Well then." Cyra looked at her companions. "Do we go in?" The boyish man walked in front of her and yelled, "Hello?" into the cave. Cyra started and dragged the man back. "Are you crazy?" She demanded. "What if there are dangerous creatures inside this cave? You just gave away our location."

Death hears the voice echo through the cavern.

"Okay a man is out there, but I sense other people," He thinks to himself.

Then, he sees a light at the end of the cavern and 3 silouettes standing at the end. He decides to hide in the shadows - hoping they didn't notice his quick movements, but he then realizes they most likely did and begins to regret his decision.

The voice echoed through out the entire cave, and the group stopped. "I think Death might have gone to check on these visitors... I think I'll also go and check as well. After all, you can't really talk to floating runes." She says, turning back and towards the entrance.

It takes some time, but she gets back to the entrance where she finds a man leaning out into the entrance and sees two other people. She doesn't see Death, which worries her, but she decides to go confront the people in the entrance.

"Who's there? Stay out." She says in a dangerous, low voice, hoping to scare them off.

The Guardian of Hope

He felt no fear. The only thing that came to mind was that there are only other Guardians on the planet. He didn't understand why Cyra was being so wary when she wanted to come here. "Hello?!" He replied to the voice that yelled from in the cave, "We came here because of the beacon. We mean no harm."

With an eerie smile, she wondered what to do in this situation. She couldn't just let them into the cave; they might be interrupting the frost phoenix if they go any further.

"The beacon? Hmm..."

She walks up to the entrance to get a better look at the three people, possibly guardians, who had arrived at the cave. A boy who looked both old and young, a young girl about a year younger than her appearance wise with vines and a very apparent nature theme, and a silent girl with a hood covering her face. She didn't know if she wanted to let them through or not; would the frost phoenix care? She decided she needed to talk to them a little more... and test them.

"I'm not really sure if my friends would like your company, so I would like to know who you all are. I will start first. I am Remillia. And you all are?"

((At least wait 'till the topic of me following you undetected the whole time comes up before complaining.))
((She did have a right to complain though; they had detailed their entire walk and you had just shown up out of no where. I would've worded the complaint more nicely, because I just don't feel like yelling at people atm, but it is an issue their group had with you just entering that I can perfectly understand.))

The Guardian of Hope

The girl with short, white hair looked at the three of them with an intense stare. The stare itself wasn't hostile but it just looks out of place. It was difficult to describe other than it was off putting to see it. "We came from the crater. When the sudden amount of darkness became more apparent and this beacon appeared we knew something was causing it from here and came to find out." A name. He didn't have a name to present to her. He quickly come up with the quickest thing he could respond with, "My name is Hope."

He gestured to both Cyra and the white tailed girl, "This is Cyra and that is," he cut off, "Actually I don't know her name. What I do know is that we're just here to figure out what is going on." The young man raised his hands up defensively, palms facing the girl with reddish-orange eyes.

((I'm using a phone. It takes 7 minutes to enter that message, let alone format it properly. Sorry if it was written shoddily and undetailed but it's the best i can do on my phone in a 8 minute time-limit. Furthermore. When i'm exhausted i can still walk. I'm not sure if it counts for you all. Anyway. Since you all seem distraught with it i'll just delete it: Problem solved

EDIT: Well. Trap went trough with it in his post... Wich one do we redact?))

Cyra stared ahead at Remillia, a bit displeased that the boyish man revealed her name. Did he just say his name is Hope? Is Hope his aspect? A Guardian of Hope? That would explain his optimism. How does hope as an aspect work?
And what about this Remilia? What's
her aspect? There's this ghostly feeling to her...

The Guardians Hope, Life, Corruption, Nether, and Death
I look at the new girl - she looks about my age, possibly a bit older but she has this ghostly feel to her. "Oh yeah, my name is ζωή -- Um, it's a weird name I know." I shift nervously, a feeling of unease settling in my chest - something wasn't right in this situation. I glance briefly at the shadows, sure I had seen something in the shadows previously.

Remillia looks uncomfortable. Someone else was supposed to be here... Where had Death gone? She shifted her weight as she thought for a moment.

Cyra turned to look at the man awkwardly standing in the shadows. “Er, who is that?” she asked.

I squint at the shadowy wall, "I don't know, but he gives me a bad feeling."

Remillia spins around to where Cyra's field of vision was, and realizes death is there. "Oh! So THAT'S where you vanished to!"

He thinks to himself. "This girl with the hood has good instincts." He reveals himself. "Who are you lot?"

She releases the breath she had unintentionally been holding. She had been afraid that something had happened to him.. But then again...

I recognize one of you from before, the one with the white tail. ζωή, I saw you back at the crater earlier.

I skitter back in slight fear. "Oh," I breathe out in surprise, going to hide behind Hope.

“Well if you were not sitting in the shadows, you would have heard the introductions.” Cyra replied.

"Why are you so afraid of him?" Remillia asks, her voice filled with curiosity. It almost seemed like she was restraining something in her.

"One moment" He gestures to the group and Remillia as he walks over to the group. He puts his hand on the small girls shoulder waiting for something to happen and she continues to cower behind the man. "You aren't dead, so you are telling the truth."

I skitter away from him again, "Why would you do that? You could've killed me if I wasn't!" I say shakily.

"But I didn't." He walks back towards Remillia.
He froze when the robed man moved around him. A huge wave of stillness overwhelmed him as the man reached to lay a hand on ζωή. It was instinctual and Hope's breath stopped being so near the man's presence. It was so sudden that he almost did not realize the white tailed girl said he could have killed her just by touching her. He quickly turned around and kneeled to her at eye level, "What do you mean he could have killed you?" He deliberately did not look back at the short, white haired girl or the man in robes.

I blink in surprise, almost forgetting the others didn't feel the repulsion to the man as I did, I simply replied with a shiver, "He's Death."

"...The Guardian of Death, that is true. If he didn't kill you... you must either be a spirit... or..."

"The Guardian of Life," Hope responded. He hoped that nothing would go wrong in stating that information since it probably would be found out soon.

"Yep, the reason she didn't die is because her own power counteracts mine. Good thing we have met now, since we will have a lot of work to do that depends on both of us."

"Hmm. I don't think our group is very compatible, then, if what I have observed is correct." Remillia took a few steps forward, completely in the entrance now, and her transparent body much more visible to the others. "We could still help each other, though." She said with a smile, unintentionally sinister.

Death? The Guardian of Death? Cyra narrowed her eyes, deep in thought.

I nod, slightly afraid of the spirit girl yet intrigued about her sinister yet somehow welcoming manner.

The young man instantly attuned to the fact that ζωή was able to identify Death and consequently also know what the extent of his abilities were. It meant that on a subconscious level ζωή had answers but she didn't just know it. It was imperative that they interacted more for this world to truly begin. The white haired girl before them didn't seem so keen on the idea. He had to change her mind. "How so? Opposite aspects don't just differ from each other but they also contrast and balance each other. I do not see an issue here," he answered keeping his head high.

Death feels a nostalgic presence within the three of them. the Guardian of Corruption was one of them. He eyes over the three of them. The girl is Life, I have no idea what the man is, or the hooded girl, he needed more answers to find who it was.

"Opposite aspects do not always forgive each other... But mine isn't here, and they don't really seem to hate each other. Our group COULD work out." She thinks aloud, evaluating the situation, "and Death and Life don't really seem to hate each other . . . There's something I need an answer to, though."

"Anything we can do to put you at ease," Hope responded quickly.

I tilt my head at the spirit girl and Hope, listening silently to the conversation.

"...Do you remember anything? You know, about the past? I know I should be taking you through the cave, to confront the cause of the darkness, but . . . I can't seem to find an answer to this question."

I blink, surprised. "Who?"

"I don't know who is the cause of the darkness... we're meant to be finding out," she responds, her voice sounding troubled, "But it almost seems like the Guardians I've met have... forgotten some things." She takes a few deep breaths. She didn't know if she wanted the answer to this question, but she waited.

Hope brushes ζωή off with a gesture of his hand. He remembered the dream he had and the other Guardians that also suffered memory loss. "It's right to assume that. We've already met other Guardians that have lost memories but we have also met a Guardian who retained his memory. His full memory." He began with his only memory stating it only as a matter of fact, "My only memory is being burned. Tied to a pole while a crowd of people surrounded me lighting the flames."

"Hm. I can remember almost everything... except what happened on the previous planet and how it ended. But . . . There's someone who remembers . . . Everything?"

Death interrupts. "The Guardian of Magic? He tends to have a good memory and a long lifespan, it would make sense for him to remember everything from previous planets."

"He had pretty eyes! They were all purple and mystical!" I pipe in, suddenly embarrassed at her loud outburst.

He smiled at her comment, "Yes that was him. Would he remember the planet before this one or would it be lost like hers?" Hope gestured at the girl with reddish-orange eyes.

“Although.” Cyra interupted. “He fainted last time he was trying to remember something.”

The Guardian of Life's outburst caused Remillia to smile a true smile for the first time in a while. She was so innocent. "He fainted?" Remillia asked curiously.

“Yes, he fainted when Hope-“ she gestured to Hope. “-asked him about what happened in the previous world."

Did he faint because of that reason? It didn't come to his mind even though it happened maybe hours ago.

Death perks up quickly. He thinks to himself. Hope? That means the hooded girl must be Corruption. Death gives a look towards Cyra as if he is examining her.

"That's... interesting." She thought. This was all very strange. Why would they all lose their memories? Did someone not want them to remember? "The frost phoenix should already know what's at the end of the cavern! We've spent too much time here, we really need to go forward. Please come with us."

"You have a point." Death takes the rock the Frost Phoenix gave him out of his pocket and tosses it to Life. "This keeps you in touch with the Frost Phoenix and the others down there, I think you will need it more than I will." He gestures at his scythe.

Cyra nodded at Hope.

I nod and catch the rune stone. I blink in surprise, "Thanks."

Through either selfless desire or ulterior motives the five very different, yet the same, Guardians came to an agreement to trust each other. The original trio followed behind Remilla and Death as they kicked the snow that piled up at the foot of the cave. Ignoring the drips from the ceiling the very odd group of Guardians began the descent into the unknowning cave with Hope in their hearts to find answers.

((As a reader: how have you guys gotten this far this fast in a WEEK))
((All things considered... Magic.))

Guardian of the Nether

As the group of unlikely Guardians walked through the caverns, Remillia thought about all she had gathered from their encounter just now. Hope had confirmed that most of the Guardians seemed to have lost part of their memory. Some of them forgot everything, while some forgot only a little. It seemed that there was one common trait; nobody could recall the previous planet's demise... except the Guardian of Magic, and it was only an assumption he remembered everything, as when he was asked what happened, he had fallen unconscious.

She decided to look down at the floor. The phoenix had given them a frost fire flame to light the cavern earlier, and it was still around them, making them able to see, but only just barely. The cavern floor was rather wet, which was strange, considering she didn't think she had seen a Guardian of Water yet. She could still see a slight reflection of her through it, though it was very muddy, and--

She gaped, and immediately stopped in her steps, finding what she saw hard to believe.

She had known she had appeared as a child with white hair, and knew she was transparent and flickered sometimes. But, in her reflection, she could very faintly see a stain on her dress. She looked at her dress for herself... and she saw a very faint red stain. Blood, though it was very old.

But how had blood gotten on her outfit? She was a spirit! It couldn't have... gotten on her while she was a spirit... unless it was another spirit's blood...

She clenched her teeth, and then she realized why she hadn't washed it off her dress when it was new. She had refused to, to remind herself what happens when a Guardian becomes obsessed over their own power, and to keep that person deep inside of her, where it would never be able to come out.

She realized the group was waiting for her to move on, and she stammered "O-Oh! I'm so sorry, I was just thinking about something that happened." She quickly moved on ahead, making eye contact with no one. They didn't need to know. They just had to find out who caused this darkness and they would be done.
