Introduction / Meeting about the future of EscapeRestart

Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of recent posts. I have a new addition in my family now, and he can be quite a handful sometimes.

The staff got together a few days ago and had a long talk about who wants to do what, where we wanted to go in the future, and many other things. We had a really healthy and productive discussion, and are now wanting to move forward with some of our plans that we have set in stone. This includes asking the players how you feel about things, the directions we are going, and involving you in the process the entire way. We also are going to increase the transparency we have about updates of our servers and other services - including more thorough update logs, and more frequent player / staff interaction.

SimpleSMP's Sixth (and most spooky) content update: New Mobs, Spooky Bosses, New Shop Items, & More!
It's officialy October! Obviously this means we have to get into the Halloween spirit on SimpleSMP, and I fully intend to deliver that! A new custom world, spooky mobs, bosses, brand new daily shop items, and general stability fixes are coming with this update.

Release Date: Saturday, October 10th, @ 2PM UTC.

New Custom World
Players have unearthed a new mysterious world that unleashed a ton of new mobs and powerful bosses across the overworld. This dangerous world is full of dungeons and loot that will give you a great advantage over others, but it doesn't come with some ease. The mobs hit harder, there are lakes of lava, PvP is constantly enabled, and many other challenges are presented to you in this new world. New Dedicated Server
I am happy to announce that we have moved to a much faster and more modernized setup to host our servers! If you have played on any of our servers before, you know sometimes - especially when SMP's dropped, the server could kinda struggle with itself. We wanted a solution for this, and instead of gimping our servers we decided to try and find somewhere else to host our servers, and luckily ayan4m1 came around with a solution that helped us all! You will notice that things are running much smoother now, and it will continue to be that way now.

We haven't finished moving all the servers over yet, but do not worry - I intend to bring every server back. SimpleSMP's Fifth content update: 1.16.2, Bugfixing, & Stability!
Welcome to SimpleSMP's fifth update! This update mainly focuses on getting us super stable, on top of fixing a TON of bugs that have popped up since the start of the server. Welcome to our new city-building world on Blocktopia! We’ve had some notable events unfold in the recent weeks, but they are in no means setbacks. With the existing SimCity crowded and cluttered, the community has been working hard to bring you a new world which is distinct from any we’ve had before. SimpleSMP's Second Content Update!
Hello again! There is another update coming to SimpleSMP, and I'm excited to tell you all about it! With this new update comes some more things to spend your money on, new player shops areas, some more balancing and bug fixes, and more! New Player Shops
I quite honestly didn't expect player shops to be so popular. The spawn shops are already essentially filled up, and it seems a lot of players want more shop areas. The new shop are will be accessible on release day via /warp PlayerShops, and the /warps GUI. The bottom floor features two sized shops, small and medium - and the top floor is reserved for large shops. You can easily get between the two via the elevators every few shops. SimpleSMP's first Content Update!
Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the new server as much as I'm enjoying playing on it / watching you all play. I feel like the launch was a fairly smooth experience, and I'm super happy with the way things turned out in the past few days since release. I do know there were some things players noticed, like small bugs, and on top of that - some players suggested a few things be added. I hear everyone loud and clear, and I want to try my best at working with players to build up the true experience they want overtime. Welcome to EscapeRestart's New Lobby!

I have been silently working on something behind the scenes for quite some time and I'm finally ready to release it! New secrets, features, challenges, ways to pass time, & more are coming in this update. There are also of course - a ton of bug fixes! Here are some highlights of the new lobby. We have been using our current lobby for a long time now, and I figured it'd be a nice breath of fresh air to release something new to join to.

Bedrock Integration

We are testing a new proxy that allows users who are on bedrock editions (Windows 10, Switch, Mobile, Xbox, & PS4) to join our servers. Please keep in mind this is experimental, and anyone who joins with their bedrock clients may experience some glitches.

What this means is that bedrock users can fully enjoy our servers, and it can also open up our servers to a lot more people.

Welcome to a new and exciting take on Skyblock!

People were asking around in the discord for an event, so I decided to quickly start up a server so people have something to play while I'm still working on SimpleSMP.

If you don't know what One Block Skyblock is, go ahead and check out the video linked below for some more details on it.


Now, all that I ask is for everyone to follow our community rules, including not being a dick. If you break any of these rules, you will be banned just like any server.
Also, keep in mind this will be shutdown once SimpleSMP is released.

There is only one island, and this doesn't work on spigot servers so that isn't possible to setup - you all have to work together

Buzzin' into 1.15!

Hello everyone! I know a lot of people are home due to the coronavirus, and I'm one of those people also - so I have been putting some time into the servers so everyone has something nice and fresh to look forward too during these times. I'm proud to finally announce the next iteration of EscapeRestart's SMP Server, one that doesn't follow any of our past servers, keeps it simple, but unique & fun.

The goal of this server is simple (heh), I saw how much the users of EscapeRestart enjoyed the Temp SMP I ran a while back. People regularly played it despite it being fairly barebones, and in my eyes, it was a pretty good server and held up well for only being temporary. Modpack Info

The pack for all people. Infinity is the general all-purpose pack from the FTB team that is designed for solo play as well as small and medium population servers. With enough mods for anyone to find something to do, this is a great modpack for our community to play on :)
